Changes to Goondiwindi Polo Plans
The Goondiwindi Polo Tournament has become a key event on the calendars of city and country folk alike. In a move that is set to make the 2019 tournament a memorable one, it will be held at the polo fields at the Coulton family's "Morella".
After a prolonged dry period the organisers have decided that the Goondiwindi fields are too dangerous to play on. However, the tournament and the Long Lunch are very much still on.
The Long Lunch is back again with a delicious spit roast, and a selection of cocktails and boutique beers. One lucky lady will take home a lucky door prize from The Diamond Hunter.
Buses will begin departing the Victoria Hotel in Goondiwindi at 12pm- organisers suggest aiming for the first bus if you are attending the long lunch.
Speaking of diamonds, your best country casual attire could put you in the running to win a set of diamond earrings provided by David Benn Fine Jewellery valued at $1500.
There is also a pendant for best dressed man, no need to enter, this is the country, they will pick you out from the paddock.
This Saturday, take in an afternoon of bush polo at its best, Pimm's in hand and make it back to the Vic in time to celebrate with the local rugby crew.
This Super Saturday is sure to be a corker.
