Gundy Picnic Races Go Green

This year the Goondiwindi Picnic Races (one of Australia’s most beloved country race meets) is doing their bit for the environment. This year’s event, held April 6, will usher in a new era of reusable plastic glasses. $5 on the day will score you a wine or champagne glass that you can take home as a token of the festivities, simply refill the glass at your leisure throughout the day.

Eco-friendly glassware for a guilt-free race day!

You can pre-order your tickets online now, saving you time and money on the day, find them here.

“We’re constantly looking for ways to improve our event, and online ticketing was a logical next step for us,” says Goondiwindi Picnic’s President Casey Simpson.

“We hope that the introduction of online ticketing for the Picnics will be welcomed by the community – it’s about making their lives easier. It should also help streamline our entry gates and help people get into the event more quickly.”

Gates will open at 11 am, allowing plenty of time for you to take in all the upgrades to the race course, and check in on the wi-fi that will be available for the day before the first race at 12pm.
